We strongly believe the best way to keep your pet healthy is through
preventative care. Prevention starts with a good vaccine program that
includes regular physical exams, deworming, heartworm testing and
prevention, and spaying and neutering. Regular "booster" vaccinations
are also essential to prevent serious contagious diseases. We offer
puppy and kitten packages that include all the routine vaccinations,
dewormings, etc. at a discounted price.
Microchipping
Did you know that a family pet goes missing every two seconds? That
equals millions of pets a year! Avid Friend chip was developed to
help your lost pet return home. The chip is given just like a vaccine.
The injection deposits the chip under the skin where it remains safely
for the life of the pet.
Dental Care
Regular, professional dental care will keep your pet comfortable,
add to its longevity, and make him/ her more pleasant to be around.
An ultrasonic scaler is used to clean each tooth above and below the
gum line. After cleaning, each tooth is polished to create a smooth
surface that is more resistant to plaque build up. Finally, a fluoride
treatment is then applied.
Pharmacy
We have fully stocked pharmacy with top of the line veterinary products.
If your pet has difficulty taking medications we can refer you to
a local compounding pharmacy to have the medication flavored.
 Laboratory
At the Green Acres Small Animal Hospital we have a full onsite lab,
which allows us to quickly and thoroughly evaluate your pet's health.
Surgery
In our state of the art surgical suite our doctors perform elective
surgeries such as spaying, neutering, and declawing, to more complicated
surgeries such as fracture repairs and ligament repairs.
Laser
We are proud to offer laser surgery as a progressive new option for
our clients who want the safest and least painful treatment for their
pets. Laser surgery is precise, and in many case, laser surgery can
be extremely beneficial over traditional surgery. Some of the benefits

With X-rays or ultrasound, we can visualize the heart, kidneys, bladder,
stomach, liver, and other organs to help determine your pet's condition...

stress, and very often, the lives of our patients.
We are proud to offer grooming by James Pesce. James has been grooming
for over 25 years. He has been the groomer at many of the top dog
shows, including "best in show" winner at the Westminster
dog show in 1997. James services as a judge for the American Kennel
Club.
